level one is where you happen across the department of magical law enforcement's first level. this department has many different departments within it, but it is most well known for the aurors that work out of it. the magical enforcement is even more busy now as things in the wizarding world changes, they need the space.

- - level two
this floor is where the aurors have set up camp to do their work., alongside the misuse of muggle artifacts section, headed up by a mr arthur weasley. most of the walls on this floor are covered with wanted posters, personal photos, quidditch posters and cuttings from the daily profit. also on this floor: wizengamot administration services.

this floor is one of the busiest in the ministry because it collaborates three very different departments into one place. firstly there is the accidental magic reversal squad. then there is the obliviator headquarters. and finally the muggle-worthy excuse committee. they all revolve around the same idea, but they all have their own staff so it's pretty hard to get around without banging into someone.

level four is where you can find any departments that relate to magical animals, such as the importing of dragons or the actions of a hippogriff. containing the beast, being, and spirit divisions, goblin liaison office and pest advisory board it's fair to say that a lot goes on on this floor.

- - level five
this level is where anything international is dealt with. the departments found here are: international confederation of wizards, british seats, international magical office of law and international magical trading standards body. so yes everything done in here is very important as it keeps the whole wizarding world under control.

most of what is dealt with on this floor has something to do with education, aka decisions about hogwarts. however this is not all. the workers on this floor could actually be working with the portkey authority as well. departments include: apparition test center,
broom regulatory control,
floo network authority and portkey office

- - level seven
departments on this floor are: british and irish quidditch league headquarters, official gobstones club and ludicrous patents office. possibly the least important of all the floors it was made just to keep people happy, to make people think that enjoyment is still regimented. people on this floor know they are unimportant, but they don't care.

- - the atrium
the atrium is a large hall with fireplaces up and down both long walls. down the other side of the hall are more fireplaces, gilded ones, which witches and wizards can use to arrive in the first place. the floor is dark polished wood and anyone that wanders this hallowed hall has a purpose of something or other.

this is where you happen across the department of mysteries, and only the department of mysteries. it's so large and so secret that it must have a floor all of it's own and if you are allowed onto this floor it must mean you are important. with hundreds of different doors and more boobey traps than you could ever imagine it's a horrible place to navigate unless you know where you're going, so don't try and steal any prophecies okay?

this level can only be reached by the stairs to the left of the door which leads to the department of mysteries on level nine. this level is filled with dis-used courtrooms that are only ever used for the most dangerous criminals so they can be kept under control. lots of dark chambers and wooden seats, hardly a nice place to visit, or find yourself on trial.
