* it is a calming reassurance to know that i shall be able to enjoy a movie without the necessary side commentary by my company, sitting in the armchair beside the couch. would it be bad to say that i had almost wanted to ring his neck by the time the movie was through? perhaps i shouldn't say something like that... are you suggesting that you aren't a man to be trusted? usually, i like to think of myself as a good judge of character, but with you saying things like that i'm wondering if i should begin to question my first impressions of you...

sitting in the arm chair beside the couch, eh? that certainly is putting some distance between the two of you. worried he might make an awkward, sci-fi based sexual advance if you let him any closer? those muggle lovers are dodgy ones, not including present company of course. ring his neck all you wish, I'm not going to judge you. I mean if it was how you felt, why lie about it? honesty is the best way to live life in my opinion, it's the only way you can be true to yourself and to others. hopefully that admission will also go some way to demonstrating my trustworthy character. in this case you have been a wonderful judge of character, it just concerns me slightly that you are so open. you are still young and beautiful after all, any one could want to take advantage.

* i was hoping you would exclude me from the group so labeled as "dodgy muggle lovers", so i'm glad that you did. otherwise, i would have had to worry that you thought me strange or something. haha. and as for sexual advances... let's just say that i've got a feeling that william is a bit like a prepubescent boy when it comes to women. call it women's intuition, but i just wanted to make a point clear that i wasn't interested in him like that... at all. he's far from my type. honesty truly is he best policy, and yes, i suppose that it does help your case, just a bit. (: though, you should know, i'm a big girl. entirely capable of caring for myself, thank you very much.

well if either of us were the 'strange' one i'm pretty sure it's me. i mean i have been the one to strike up conversation with you twice, despite the fact thtat we are pretty much strangers. and dispite running the risk of making myself sound even more odd i couldn't really blame him from acting like a puberty stricken boy. attractive women can have that effect on other wise comptetent men, i myself have fallen under that spell many times before. your laugh in particular would have been quite disarming for his ablility to charm. i thought you should know, since we were being honest.

any charming i'm doing is unintensional. I mean, not that I don't think these things but it's just ... it's been quite a while since I've charmed a woman, I don't think I'd be very good if I were trying to do it actively.

* well, if this is charming done unintentionally, it makes me curious as to how you would charm a woman if you were actually doing it on purpose. but, really, you should stop. i'm still at work, you know, and people are looking at me strangely because i'm about as red as a tomato. ):

I think I'm probably better at it when I'm not trying, it takes the pressure out of it. however, I promise to stop. I wouldn't want anyone to start heckling the boss, you never know what that could lead to after all.

* if i'm honest, it probably wouldn't lead to anything at all, since i've got a tendency to be a bit of a pushover at times... well, most of the time actually... unless someone tries turning in a story late. that's when they begin to fear the wrath. (:

it seems you're much kinder an employer than my editor. he is always on my back checking the progress of my reports and making sure I triple check my sources before I even think about writing the article. perhaps I should switch sides and start working for the prophet.

* it's not that i'm a kinder employer. when it comes to business, i don't take any rubbish. i do get along rather well with everyone i work with though, so when it concerns matters that really have nothing to do with the paper. well, i get a lot of hassling at times. they all seem to enjoy teasing quite a lot. not that i mind. i'm a good sport. (: .......wait. you're a reporter? ...oh... so, you work for the quibbler, then...

well I suppose it is good to have balance in the workplace. you're assured that everyone is happy then. but yes, I do work for the quibbler, is that a problem?

* problem? ...oh! oh, no no no! i'm sorry, maybe that was rude of me. i guess i was just surprised is all... truth be told, i've never actually really spoken to anyone from the quibbler without it ending in some rather unpleasant way...

that doesn't surprise me really. I can't say I've had positive interactions with Prophet workers until now. I would hate for my previous accidental charm to be ruined because of my job description

* rest assured that all of your wit and charm (however accidental said charm may or may not be) has not gone to waste. i'd be a right cow if i decided that we couldn't get along simply because you work for a rival newspaper. you've got me on the fast track to thinking that you're a trustable and/or reliable character, so i'm impressed thus far. (: i hope i haven't made you decide that you'd rather not join me for that movie. truth be told, i was rather looking forward to it...
